2019 FCC Week:

3rd Annual Safety-Net Gala & Advocacy Day

On April 4th, WAFCC was proud to once again to host legislators, clinic staff, and supporters for our 3rd Annual Safety-Net Gala at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.

SSM Health and Mercy Health were this years recipients of WAFCC's Health System Partners of the Year awards for their outstanding contributions to their communities.

Among the highlights of the evening was the honoring of our many supporters from both across the state and in Madison itself. Senators Alberta Darling and Janet Bewley were on hand to accept their WAFCC Legislative Advocate of the Year Award.

2019 Health System Partners of the Year Award

Mercy Health of Janesville
Mercy provided over $30,000 in monetary investment to Health Net of Rock County last year, while providing discounted labs, eye exams, and specialty consults. Additionally, Mercy residents volunteer in Health Net’s clinics, which helps add two more clinic days to their schedule on a weekly basis.

SSM Health of St. Louis, Missouri
For their investment in Health Net’s programming through mini-grants, and for providing charitable care through specialty visits and surgeries when their patients need it the most. More recently, they plan on helping Health Net of Rock County by providing imaging services to help with diagnosis and further care.
