2023 WAFCC on the Road Recap 

From August 28th - 31st WAFCC staff hit the road to five different host sites throughout the state to celebrate Wisconsin's Free and Charitable Clinics. A special thank you goes out to the host sites and those who attended! Read more below to find out how each visit went! 

Waukesha

On Monday, August 28th, WAFCC traveled to Waukesha to kick off WAFCC on the Road! Waukesha Free Clinic hosted at their new home in the Carroll University Community Health Services Building. Amy Vega, Waukesha Free Clinic Executive Director, opened the event with an overview of their clinic. WAFCC Executive Director, Dennis Skrajewski and staff then provided present and future initiatives followed by a  town hall.  A special thank you goes out to Waukesha Free Clinic for hosting the event and to the Office of Senator Chris Kapenga and Representative Scott Allen for attending. Madison

On Tuesday, August 29th, WAFCC made their way to Perry Family Free Clinic located in Madison for the second stop along the way for WAFCC on the Road. Special thank you to the Office of State Representative Subek and Senators Roys and Hesselbein for joining us. Attendees had a chance to tour the RLWA Men's Health & Education Center, a barbershop and health center combined to tackle health disparities impacting Black men and boys in Dane County. Thank you to everyone who could make it out! LaCrosse

On August 30th, WAFCC visited LaCrosse at the St. Clare Health Mission for their third stop along the route. Jason Larson, Executive Director, started the event with a wonderful overview about their clinic, highlighting their new Rotary Mobile Clinic. WAFCC staff then provided their updates. Wausau

On August 31st, WAFCC traveled to Wausau for the fourth WAFCC on the Road event! Jeff Todd and Dr. Jeff Oswald of Wausau Free Clinic welcomed attendees into their new home at the Community Partners Campus and provided various updates related to their clinic. Click here to read more abut the clinic. WAFCC then provided their updates and opened the floor to any questions and answers. The event ended with a tour of the CPC and other community organizations. Menasha

Later that same day, on August 31st, WAFCC ended their travels in Menasha, WI! Special thank you to Hope Clinic and Care Center for hosting us. We started the visit off with a round table discussion with clinic Executive Director, Shelby Miller. Guest were then invited to tour the clinic. Click here to learn more about their clinic.
