WAFCC's AmeriCorps Programs

WAFCC now has 2 AmeriCorps Programs. The AmeriCorps VISTA Program and the Public Health AmeriCorps Program are both great opportunities for individuals looking to gain experience in a nonprofit and/or a public health setting. AmeriCorps VISTA Members serve at a nonprofit organization such as WAFCC, a Wisconsin Free and Charitable Clinic (FCC), or a Public Health Department. With passion, commitment, and hard work, VISTAs bring individuals and communities out of poverty while improving access to quality health care. Public Health AmeriCorps (PHA) Members will also serve at FCCs, Public Health Departments, or a Social Service Agency. PHA Members will provide continued COVID-19 pandemic support, help combat the opioid epidemic, strengthen telehealth capabilities, procure volunteers, and more.
