2022 WAFCC on the Road Recap 

From August 22nd - 25th WAFCC staff hit the road to five different host sites throughout the state to celebrate Wisconsin's Free and Charitable Clinics. A special thank you goes out to the host sites and those who attended! Read more below to find out how each visit went! 

Madison 

On Monday, August 22nd, WAFCC traveled to Madison to kick off WAFCC on the Road! Affordable Dental Care (ADC) hosted at RISE Wisconsin. It was a wonderful facility with very kind, helpful staff. ADC's Executive Director, Areli Estrada (pictured center) opened the event with a concise overview of their clinic followed by Senator Agard welcoming the attendees. WAFCC Executive Director, Dennis Skrajewski (pictured far right) and staff then provided present and future initiatives followed by a  town hall.  A special thank you goes out to ADC for hosting the event and to Wisconsin State Senator Agard for attending. Milwaukee

On Tuesday, August 23rd, WAFCC made their way to Mount Carmel Lutheran Church located in Milwaukee for the second stop along the way for WAFCC on the Road. Special thank you to Representative Goyke (pictured far right) and Representative Supreme Omokunde (pictured middle right) for joining us. They opened the event with informative speeches and facilitated a wonderful conversation amongst the clinics. Dennis and his team closed the event with WAFCC updates and a Q&A session with the clinics. Lastly, a special thank you also goes to Dr. Stephanie Findley at the Findley Foundation for hosting us. Chippewa Falls

On August 24th, WAFCC visited Chippewa Falls at the Open Door Free Clinic for their third stop along the route.  Clinic Coordinator, Kim Renaud, started the event with a wonderful overview about their clinic and community outreach . WAFCC staff  then provided their updates followed by the two Legislators in attendance. Thank you Representative James (pictured right) and Senator Bernier for attending and enriching conversation at the event. Special thank you to Open Door Clinic for hosting us at their beautiful church. Wausau

On August 25th, WAFCC traveled to Wausau for the fourth WAFCC on the Road event! Manager, Jeff Todd (pictured) of the First Presbyterian Church Wausau Free Clinic welcomed attendees and provided various updates related to their clinic. Most excitedly, the clinic will soon move to a much larger space at the community center that is underway. Click here to read more abut the clinic. WAFCC then provided their updates and opened the floor to any questions and answers. The event ended with a clinic tour and all were welcomed to go check out the new facility as well. This was a wonderful location to gather with tremendous community support. Special thank you to First Presbyterian Church Wausau Free Clinic for hosting us and Representative Snyder for attending!

Appleton 

Later that same day, on August 25th, WAFCC ended their travels in Appleton, WI! Special thank you to Vida Medical Clinic and Support Services for hosting us. Executive Director, Anne Tretinyak and Nurse, Heidi Weiland kick off the event with a tour of their wonderful facility! The large space was creatively and beautifully designed with their patents comfort in mind. Click here to learn more about their clinic. Following the tour, Dennis and his staff provided their updates. The event end with a town hall. Special thank you also goes to  Representative Cabral-Guevara for attending. She couldn't emphasize enough the importance of clinic's engaging with their local Representatives and going to Madison to advocate for their needs.
