How it works:
Host/Participant Model of Care

Wisconsin Tele Talk Health Network (WTTHN) utilizes a Host-Participant Model to expand flexibility, accessibility, and direct engagement for talk therapy and/or peer support services across Wisconsin among WAFCC member clinics.

In this updated model, each participating clinic functions as a Host or a Participant:
  • Host Clinics:
Provide talk therapy providers and/or peer support specialists, infrastructure, and telehealth services directly to patients of Participant Clinics.
    • Talk therapy providers may be licensed professional counselors or licensed clinical social workers.
    • Peer support specialists are unlicensed individuals with relevant national certifications.
    • The credentials of the talk therapy providers and peer support specialists will be made available in advance to the Participant Clinic.
  • Participant Clinics:
Connect their patients with Host Clinics by facilitating telehealth visits, ensuring seamless access to talk therapy providers and/or peer support specialists, regardless of geographic location.

This collaborative model increases the efficiency of talk therapy and/or peer support service delivery, allowing more rapid scheduling and greater access to care, including bilingual services.
