Join us in celebrating the work of Wisconsin’s FCCs. The Summit will provide engaging speakers on the topics of Community Engagement. The afternoon Happy Hour will be a great time to network with colleagues, followed by a dinner and celebration with awards. Join us for any part of the event.

Annual Clinic Meeting

Join WAFCC staff at our annual clinic meeting. WAFCC's Year-to-Date In Review, program updates, and an opportunity to share clinic highlights. All are welcome!

Summit

The Summit portion will provide an educational opportunity for clinic leaders, staff, volunteers and community partners. The theme of the Summit is Community Engagement, improving access to health services for the uninsured. Patients will share stories on the impact of local clinics, followed by a keynote speaker, clinic panel, and breakout session. See speakers below.

Joe Agoada, CEO of Sostento

Keynote Speaker - Community Engagement

Joe Agoada is a health access champion and CEO of Sostento who has spent the last 20 years working on community efforts around the world including in Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the United States. Joe will speak to the importance of community engagement in healthcare spaces, and successes and challenges in the space in recent years.

Kelly Schroeder, RDH, MS & Megan Tenpas, CareQuest Institute for Oral Health

Breakout Session 1 - Improving Access to Oral Health through Engaging the Community​

Kelly Schroeder, RDH, MS and Megan Tenpas from the CareQuest Institute for Oral Health will share recent publications and programs from the Institute, implementation tools, and resources to improving access to oral health care.

Brook Berg, Mayo Health Systems NWWI

 Breakout Session 2 - Clinics & The Community

Brook Berg, Director of Community Engagement at Mayo Health Systems will share strategies to building relationships with community based organizations, local hospital systems, and local public health departments. She will also highlight Community Health Needs Assessments, and the importance of Free Clinic voice in local health initiatives.
