Wisconsin COVID-19 Vaccination Distribution Update
​To stay informed about the latest statewide COVID-19 vaccination information, visit the Wisconsin Department of Health Services: Covid-19 vaccine page. For additional information about the distribution process in your county, utilize this spreadsheet from the Children's Health Alliance of Wisconsin. The spreadsheet will be updated as new information is released and can be found by visiting their website here.
COVID-19 Vaccination Distribution Implementation Program
"This guidance document outlines information and clarifies the roles of local public health agencies and other approved vaccine providers in coordinating vaccination for Phase 1A Unaffiliated Healthcare Personnel (UHP), including EMS, dentists, and other healthcare workers who are not directly employed by a vaccine provider. This guidance document forms the first building block in a broader phased vaccination strategy that will be followed soon by guidance on vaccinating populations in Phase 1B and future phases as more vaccine supply becomes available.​.." COVID-19 Vaccine FAQs for Clinic Staff
Attached is a COVID-19 Vaccine FAQ document​ for distribution among your staff/volunteers. It was developed by Sostento’s Project Finish Line Team with inputs from scientific experts in vaccinology in support of free and charitable clinics across the country.  WAFCC is working with this group to bring you accurate, timely information about COVID-19 and the upcoming vaccine distribution.  We will present our overall plan for this initiative on our FCC Leaders Call on Friday, December 18th at 11 AM. We hope you can join us for that important session.

DHS Launches Provider Enrollment for COVID-19 Vaccine Program
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) launched its Provider Enrollment for COVID-19 Vaccine Program earlier this week! We encourage you to click on the following link and find out more about this program. Even if your clinic ultimately decides not to participate, the website contains some excellent information on vaccine development and future distribution. The development of a safe and effective vaccine is well along and the time to prepare is now!

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) launched a new data dashboard. This has been designed to give Wisconsinites the tools they need to most effectively respond to COVID-19.

The CDC Guidance for Oral Health has updated practices for COVID-19.  Click here for a link to the website
A summary of recent changes includes:
  • The recommendation to wait 15 minutes after completion of clinical care and exit of each patient without suspected or confirmed COVID-19 to begin to clean and disinfect room surfaces has been removed to align with CDC Interim Infection Prevention and Control Recommendations for Patients with Suspected or Confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Healthcare Settings.
  • The time period recommended for patients to inform the dental clinic if they develop symptoms or are diagnosed with COVID-19 following a dental appointment has been changed to 2 days to align with CDC’s Interim U.S. Guidance for Risk Assessment and Work Restrictions for Healthcare Personnel with Potential Exposure to COVID-19.
  • Clarifying language has been added to Engineering Controls.
